I’ve been slammin’ busy like, woah! Run run run! But in a good way. I’m not complaining.
I’ve had a couple of awesomely fun classes at Paradigm Gardens. They’ve been full of creative and inspiring people.
They were Mother’s Day classes, though all kinds of interesting people came and not all brought their moms.

The classes were like parties.
I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.
Right in the middle of the classes I had an opening for MMOCA’s gallery night at the Monona Library.
All in all, it was a stone cold blast!!!!
I love being this busy!
Well, I’ll tell ya why.
I had never been on any kind of retreat before moving to Madison about 11 years ago. I was lucky enough to meet this awesome group of women, including Jenina, my fabulous friend who is helping with the Deep Into Indigo Retreat. Jenina is one of the organizers of my yearly retreat and is one of the major reasons that it rocks.
Anyhoo, way before I moved to town, this particular group of moms – who all share similar interests – had been getting together for several years. They were kind enough to invite me.
The first year I went for only a few hours because my kids were little and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was so awesome! We all just hung out, drank some wine, ate some cheese and chocolate, played some board games, knitted and chatted. They are a really creative and welcoming bunch. The next year (and every year since) I’ve been pretty much the first arrive and the last to leave.
The power of a group of women hanging out in a positive and supportive, relaxed yet active atmosphere is so delightful to be in. Most of these women I only see once a year. But every time I see them, we are immediately bonded. The weekend zips by and I can’t wait till the next year.
I really want to share this experience with more women. We should all have this kind of experience…and, oh yeah, we should all DYE WITH INDIGO!!
Our Deep Into Indigo Retreat is going to offer all my favorite parts of a good retreat PLUS that awesome indigo!! We’ll have good food, a comfortable and inviting space to relax, shared creative time, and a beautiful location.
